handsAre you bored? Are you going on a trip? Are you stuck inside with nothing to do? Instead of sitting and watching TV or playing video games to pass the time away this summer, create some art!

Play with chalk outside, draw a cartoon, paint a picture, make a sculpture, take some photographs, design art online, etc!

Remember, anything related to art, i.e. something you create (like a drawing) or you take a photograph of  (like you in front of a famous sculpture), if you save it and bring into the art classroom, you earn extra credit!

So keep, or even take a picture of, all the artistic stuff you do this summer and email it to me, or bring it in next year, and you will start racking in the extra credit!

nlCongratulations to Nicol Lupa for being selected as the second place winner in the 7-9 grade age group in the Art of Green Spaces poster contest. As a second place winner, she will receive a $50 Amazon.com gift card.
