6th grade students studied artist Keith Haring (http://www.haring.com) in order to create their own mural. Students first traced themselves in a pose and then painted these figures using primary and secondary colors with the addition of black outlines.

8th grade students studied artist and author Dr. Seuss, who had a private collection of creature mounts he made using paper mache with real animals horns. Considerign such, students created their own Dr. Seuss like character using newspaper, cardboard, tape, glue and acrylic paint.
