Students learned about how to use recycled materials to create a wall hanging in any shape they wanted. To do this, students used toilet paper and paper towel tubes cut into small sections and then twirled into designs and then painted whatever color they wished.

6th grade students studied various artists, such as Shepard Fairey, who created political campaign posters in order to create their own political poster using colored pencils.

Taught Rotation 1: September11th 2012

8th grade students created collaborative artwork in the style of the surrealist art movement, Exquisite Corpse.  They created seperate heads, bodies, and legs of their own imaginative creatures. They measured out the size of each piece so that they could match them up with other student’s works to create a whole new artwork.
