Bones

January 25, 2012, One Million Bones posted this on their Facebook Page “These are some of the bones that Deyana Matt and her Westfield Middle School students made for the Students Rebuild challenge. We laid them out on a table in front of our window, and boy, do they get people’s attention. Thanks Team Piece by Piece!”

The Doodle for Google art contest is back for the fifth consecutive year. The theme of this year’s contest is, “If I could travel in time, I’d visit…” If you are interested in entering this contest and winning a $30,000 scholarship, please see Ms. Matt in the art room.

Metra is proud to announce the Sixth Annual Metra Safety Poster Contest. This year’s theme is “Lead the Way: Look, Listen and Live.” The Safety Contest is a key part of Metra’s ongoing effort to increase public awareness of lifesaving railroad safety practices. Westfield Students are Winners in Art Contest – Westfield Middle School is proud to announce that two of its students were winners in the 2012 Illinois Arts Education Poster Contest. Eighth grade student Daniel D. won third place and seventh grade student Allana B. won an honorable mention. The Illinois Arts Education Week Poster Contest is sponsored in cooperation with the Illinois Alliance for Arts Education and the Illinois State Board of Education. This year’s theme is “Be Art Smart”.
