6th grade students looked at various examples of creatively air brushed cars in order to brainstorm ideas for their own unique 3D car designs to be made of card stock and illustrated using markers. In additon to making their own 3D car, students were also able to design a car online for extra credit at http://www.guzer.com/games/createaride.php.

Taught Rotation 1: August 22nd 2011

8th Grade learned how to create digital works of art using photos from Google Images. GIMP, which stands for ‘GNU Image Manipulation Program’,  is used for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring. GIMP is a program which can be downloaded for free from www.gimp.org.
